Why the Glass is Still Half-Full

So today, I'm over at Writer Unboxed talking about why I don't think that the gloom and doom of both the industry and the economy are entirely bad news for publishing. In fact, I think a few positives can come out of it. Warning: I know that not everyone is going to like what I have to say, and I'm open to healthy debate. No problems. :)

Thank you Allison. Being positive and optimistic is lonely out here...yet with any change there is hope.

Change is a funny thing...everyone complains about the status quo until it falls apart, and then people come out of the woodwork to defend it. You're so right...there is huge potential for positive change to come out of the current upheaval in the publishing industry. Here's to things looking altogether different--and better--this time next year!

I wrote something sort of similiar on my blog today. So far no one's web flamed me :-)
